I’ve been designing my websites first in Adobe Illustrator, mainly because it’s the program I know the best… that also offers a lot of design flexibility for website mockups. Nice to find someone else touting it’s strengths over at Smashing Magazine, complete with a link to 260 free vectors icons, GUI graphic library for web design. Sweet! My job just got a little bit easier…

My love for Miuccia Prada grows ever stronger… this time offering up some serious upper-cut, stiff-upper-lip dandy fashion for the very distinguished gentleman. Hoooooo boy.

the everyday primate | everyday science for human primates is a blog by my very own dear mother, Linda Wilshusen. Apart from being great because it’s my mom’s, it’s also a very interesting and thought-provoking read of human evolution. Short vignettes that artfully combine personal, place-setting narrative with scientific theories and discoveries help ‘humanize’ (see what I did there?) our not-so-distant past and present… Go mom!

Spent the last couple hours or days updating Boulder Creek’s “CANpaign” graphic with fresh spring colors, some flowers and figures to remind the peeps around town that it’s not just for Christmas – we really do want to “Stay Lit All Year Long.” This illustration will wrap around little slot-topped paint cans next to every register and tip jar in Boulder Creek.

I really wanted to do small caricatures of all the folks I see on a daily/weekly basis round this funky little town… but this being a pro-bono gig, just slipped in a cameo of Dante dashing down the street with Jefferson the Giraffe flying behind. When I find time… I’d love to make postcards… maybe this summer? In the meantime I’ll be doing a mockup of a new website for the BC Business Association.

I do love this town.
